A veteran of the San Francisco HardNRG underground, Kem (formerly known as Kemical Kidd) starting rocking underground parties in early 1999 and maintained a busy schedule playing regularly at SF venues for many years. His sought-after and innovative style led to his travels to play in places far and near such as Japan, Australia, Canada, Mexico and various cities across the U.S.

Kem now focuses his sound on an eclectic mix of deep and funky underground house, when combined with his technical ability his CDs and live sets are an innovative twist on the San Francisco house sound. As a producer, Kem has joined with Konstantin to form Soulaire. Soulaire has a unique sound that combines the best of deep and funky house with their trademark bass-lines and smooth keys.
